- סִירְגּוּל, סִרְ׳m. (סִרְגֵּל) drawing lines, ruling. Gen. R. s. 24, end אפי׳ סִירְגּוּלוֹ של ספר even the way of ruling the parchment for the Book (the Pentateuch). Cant. R. to I, 11 ‘the silver dots זה הס׳ (some ed. הסַרְגֵּל) that means the ruling for sacred scriptures. Lev. R. s. 19, beg.; a. e.
